They've really got me hooked at wondering what the next threat is going to be. It's starting a little slow in my opinion, but building solid nonetheless.

Up and down so far. I love Anil Kapoor and Prinze Jr. But Dana Walsh and that Arlow guy aren't really interesting. Though I'm interested in seeing Walsh and Prinze Jr. conspiring to cover up the murder of Walsh's ex boyfriend (my prediction).
I think the russian guy is very creepy, they could use him well.....
PS- who else hates the New York setting? I'd like this season much better if it were still in DC, or better year LA or Miami.

Its starting out really good in my eyes. I like where Reenes story is going. Im naturaly drawn to darker type of characters.
I will wait to vote though. If I had to lay down a vote it would amazing.

And in this swanky new CTU joint, how come no one who works there has ever heard of Jack or Chloe? You'd think Jack Bauer would be a household name at CTU in the same way that someone at West Point would know about George Patton or U.S. Grant. I mean hey, he only saved the country/world half a dozen times, probably shouldn't listen to the guy...
At least Hastings apologized to Chloe...surprised someone who acted that arrogant would actually admit a mistake, so maybe there is hope for him.
Reserving judgement on Renee. Not enough info/screen time to really speculate, though I loved her last season. What's interesting is it sounded like, with the conversation she had with Chloe, that she was, in addition to her other problems, actually unemployed when she came to CTU.
Freddie Jr. aka Agent Ortiz- I like the guy.
Started a thread on Dana Walsh, but to keep it short - cannot stand her in regards to the plot with her ex. Needs a spine donor, badly. The helpless victim act works for a soccer mom or mild-mannered accountant but not a professional counterterrorist agent. Pull yourself together, lady, and I may actually start caring what happens to you. And who the hell wears a cocktail dress to work at CTU?

Anyone that has ever been in the military or work for any .gov office knows that we would never have a place like that. But I made the connection for you in the quote.

Im a huge fan of 24, but, last night i was left a bit disappointed for the first time ever......changing rooms had been into CTU and done a makeover, the famous CTU ringtone has changed!! and it was full of second rate actors, apart from Chloe of course.
Thing that really is bugging me at the mo is that blonde bird with the fit figure, she is head of ops in CTU, but, her REAL name is Jenny from some trailer park, im sure National Security would of done a background check and discovered she is somewhat reason for concern, or is this the idea, who is she?????
And the director of CTU, sack him and bring back Rene and make her Run things instead of him rapping orders....

I'm back after a nine month hiatus whilst 24 wasn't on hehe!
So far I think Season 8 is starting good, solid if you like. Something i've really got from it so far is the dark theme to it. It seems a lot more "gritty" than before, specially with Renee in her new "don't care" personality which Annie is portraying superbly. Really am intriged to see what happens next!

I'm far from hooked. It's not even close to the best season yet. I really hope we're getting a more interesting storyline, because the Russian nuclear threat doesn't do it for me.

What the f is with all of the b-grade acting with these new CTU softies. Ortiz and Walsh couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag let alone carry the weight of the free world!
Tony Almeida, Buchanan, Chapelle all kicked ass in their own way. Damnit, I wanna see some awesomeness!!

After 8 seasons, my wife stopped watching '24' and she was the biggest fan ever. I'm still waiting for each episode to hit the internet, but she couldn't care less. This is not good. Damn, I'm hoping this season will improve.
