"Hold on to your hats, Jack Bauer fans. The television and film divisions of Fox are teaming up to deliver a big-screen version of 24.
Although it is in the very early stages, the film version of the high-octane drama will reportedly take Bauer on an action-laden field mission to Europe. According to Variety, the producers of 24 had discussed a feature-length project in the past, but hadn’t been given the green light until now.
The trade paper also reports that the show’s star and executive producer, Kiefer Sutherland, would assume the same roles in the feature film production. There is no word yet on whether or not the show’s current slate of actors would be involved in the movie.
Fox has yet to sign on for a ninth season of 24, which is currently in its eighth season on the network. "
I cant wait for this this. I wish It was a movie about Operation NightFall though.

Yeah he wouldn't have died anyway. It would be so hard to do a good death for Jack Bauer. It's been pointed out, though, he'll need to be killed otherwise he'll be brought back eternally.

This processing may take time but we are ready to wait. Because we know patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet. I hope the Big screen version will be appreciated by the viewers.

Well, I mean it's not the only thing I'm looking forward to but holy moly... 24 on an enormous screen and loud enough to blow my eardrums.. a huge Jack Bauer running around in front of me...I start dying just thinking about it. But really, Chloe better be in the movie. The fact that Jack's going to Europe could easily lead to a whole new cast of maybe some European CTU variety. I just hope Jack takes Chloe with him.

For me this is fantastic news. A movie and the appearance of the ninth season. But as well as "Agent M", i would like to strongly suggest that along Jack Bauer, a few known characters should be brought along for the movie. On behalf of all 24 fans, I would like to thank all of Fox staff, and all who participated in creating 24.

I really hope this works out ok... something in me just can't be brought to believe this will be pulled off right. The expectations of an entire season will be crammed into 1.5-2.5hrs and it's unlikely to work.....

I thought of the idea that why not make a 2 hour movie take place over 1 day (1 season). I think that would work. That way they can reason long distance traveling.
