Since the Araz family lives in Los Angeles, and the father said they had lived there for 5 years, they would have been there during the events of day 3.
CTU quarantined certain neighborhoods in the area and I wonder if the Araz family lives in one of those neighborhoods? They certainly would have heard about what was going on. This show rocks.

I loved the Araz family. Specialy Dina. She had some awsome expressions with her eyes.

I agree theirs was a good story arc, and the parents characters were well acted and stick in the mind. Great bad guys.
That kid though, jeez he sucked.

A deleted scene on the DVD showed him about to be executed by Marwan's thugs. Curtis showed up, killed all the thugs, rescued Behrooz, and I assume brought him back to CTU.
Season 4 was the first season of 24 that I ever saw, and I absolutely loved it. It's not my favorite, but I really do like it!
I thought the Araz family was great. They really got the point across that you DON'T know who's around you - they certainly were not the innocent family that they pretended to be before that day. Sleeper cells are a very scary concept.
Dina Araz scared the living daylights out of me in the first few episodes (creepy-as-heck woman poisoning her son's girlfriend - what an introduction to the world of 24! And I was only 14 or so at the time...), but she was so wonderfully evil that I liked her and was very sorry to see her character get killed.

That is actually the one cool thing about 24. On many other TV series, you know the stars of the show will be back next week so you know they are going to survive whatever delima is in front of them. 24 kills off their stars (well, everyone except Jack) so you just never know what the outcome may be.
