I'm in aviation myself, and everything that has every episode that has had some sort of commercial airliner in it has been so innacurate, it makes me sort of angry. The 727 landing on the highway, for example
Just avoid aviation, Mr Sutherland.
It also makes me wonder why they've released the main essence of the story so early. Normally, 24 is kept well under wraps and half the time we don't know whats going on until the very last minute.
Maybe somethng bigger is around, it bloody better had be! |

Lol! My Dad is a flight engineer and teaches at the collage here. He also nit-picks every scene in every movie/show. |

I'm a pilot and I simply can't stand any show or movie that displays inaccurate stuff like that.
I once sat down with a then new girlfriend to watch flightplan with Jodie Foster when it came out, I spent the whole movie complaining about everything was wrong and so on...
...need I mention we didn't last long |

If every movie, tv show or game was realistic it wouldn't be as good.
But i would be picky about everything too. |

I nit-pick movies with horses in them, so I see what you mean. |

What movies have horses in them? Brokeback Mountain and what else? I'm the same with snakes. |

Um, pretty much every western (Open Range, Young Guns, Tombstone, The Quick and the Dead, etc...). A few movies with Kiefer too. |

Snakes?
Apart from that Snakes on a Plane crap, what's there to pick about snakes?
I'm quite intrested in them ever since I saw a documentary about the largest snake in the world - an articulated python I think they're called? |

...This thing is so off topic I don't even care anymore. How did a discussion on Tony turn into a discussion about movies with snakes in them? But as moderator I'm gonna let it slide for a 3 reasons: 1. I am equally guilty in the direction this thread took (whatever direction that may be... your guess is as good as mine). 2. DSi isn't here to say otherwise ( ) and 3. 24 isn't on so there's nothing else to talk about anyways. |

...and, 4) by making that post, you did infact make the off-topicness just that little bit worse |

it would make sense. I mean how many of us are used to the way the 24 goes. Here is my theory - There is no way on God's green earth that they would release something this HUGE. Tony alive? a terrorist? this is BIG!!! When has 24 ever given away something this big?? There has to be something else, like tony is a double agent or would this be a triple agent? I dont know but either way i think a majority of us are glad that tony is back, good or bad lol and instead of trying to over analyze this season i think i want to just sit back and see what kind of crazy stunt they are going to pull
In my opinion - just for kicks - I would like to see jack and tony team up again - but not in the way we're used to. Jack and Tony are so upset at the government and all the agencies that they have set out to get their revenge, as we watch the whole synopsis of 24 change dramatically. 24 is now a show about Jack and Tony working together, and each day (or season) they assassinate various government officials, federal agents, blowing up governmental buildings - i really don't care if its the post office lol.
I believe i read somewhere on here where someone said i guess we all have a sadistic side to us - or something to that affect lol - well here's mine!! |

I say the writers of 24 just throw everything to the wind, forget trying to make sense anymore - there is only so much you can do. I believe it is now at the point where it time to test the fan's true dedication to the show. Start doing things like: Jack Bauer vs. Alien and Predator, or Jack Bauer vs. Batman. I'd still watch....and enjoy it!! (slight possibility I'm getting way off topic here lol) |

Jack Bauer vs Batman? Well, after seeing the lasted Batman movie I think Batman would win.
I hope the writers are gonna take an approach like 'throw everything at the wall and see what sticks' because I'm afraid that by the time they 'find out what sticks' they may have lost fans... |

Im quite sure that Bauer will never be a bad guy - he will end up retiring in a few years with a wife and probably kim back in his life....for once - and deservedly - happily ever after!!!
Seriously though - Bauer really is one hell of a legend (and in some eyes - a superhero)!!!
I think only Superman would defeat this guy, Batman, and other superheroes would be annihilated by the one n only Bauer lol!
Any thoughts.....?? |

Batman would win because Batman can fly. Jack Bauer can't fly unless aided by a helicopter... and if you saw Batman, you'd know helicopters aren't a good idea... Geez. I'm so mad at the show not being on I don't seem to want to root for it right now. |
i actually heard from a very big 24 fan (whycantkimdie?) that tony could possibly be the mole in a team of terrorists (i.e. not a bad guy).
thoughts?
what if like jack is like on the phone with tony pleading him to talk or interrorgating him and jack says "how would michelle react to this"?
and tony says "why dont you ask her"? and michelle walks out and it turns out shes not dead either and shes bad also
thoughts? |

Jack helped blow up CTU on Day 2, so why would that not be a possibility? Remember the greater good?

Yeah, but CTU wasn't ACTUALLY supposed to blow. He phoned and gave Lynn Kregsky (sp) plenty of warning at the White House, but that other guy make her keep the information secret for his own benefit. So the President didn't know and no one ever contacted CTU. Jack then phoned them, told them to start doing their jobs and hung up. Only Jack Bauer can hang up on the President's staff. Lol. |
