The guy on the far right of the picture is deaprtment of defence. He was in season 6, im guessing they are going to make him a big character this year.

That's correct. The guy bauerhour is talking about is Ethan Kanin (Bob Gunton), Secretary of Defense in Season 6, and now Chief of Staff on Season 7. Henry Taylor (Colm Feore) is the First Gentleman and he's alongside President Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones).

Hmm... I remember the story line on ER that brought some of the main characters to Africa was one of the most exciting and action packed stories so far. I hope 24 will be good too.

So they're going along with the scrapped plans of Season 7 taking place in Africa? I don't really like that... but oh well, it's just the prequel movie, they can even break the real-time paradigm of the show if they want to.
