Jack's most hobo-ish moment has to be the Day 5 Prequel. A hooded top, greasy long hair, rough stubble, horrible skin... and still managed to kill a good few people.

Yeah, sure: the Day 5 Prequel, like all the others, was a ten-minute short showing Jack Bauer before the beginning of the fifth season.

As per usual with these things, the Region2 DVD release never got it as a special feature, meaning the only chance in the UK and outside the US was on television the week before Day 5 began. Mercifully, I taped it from SkyOne, so I've got a copy on VHS...!

I can't find the copy that was up on YouTube, annoyingly. Basically, it showed Chloe meeting secretly with Jack to let him know that somebody hacked into CTU and discovered Jack wasn't really dead (after his fake death at the end of Day 4). Jack looks worried but tells Chloe to get back to CTU before she's missed, asking about Kim before Chloe leaves. Then, as Jack gets into his car, he notices a motorbike approach. He knows something is wrong, and so watches the motorbike intently... before suddenly, a BMW 7-Series tears out of nowhere and heads for Jack. Sending his car into reverse, Jack spins away and entertains a long car chase through Los Angeles with the BMW. He finally ends it by turning into a construction yard and narrowly missing a forklift truck. The BMW isn't so lucky, and the prongs of the truck smash through the side windows and kill the people inside. Jack growls "I've got you now, you bastards!" and drives away... but the sinister motorbike is left behind, watching him leave.

I'll have another e-hunt around the interweb to see if I can get hold of it for you, but unfortunately your best source might be the Twenty-Four Wikipedia, at this link.

Your right, he is definitely most hobo like in this prequel. I have it on my DVD set. They even have a little making of/further explanation of it. Although I think the timing of when this apparently happens and when he is living with Diane seem to conflict a little.

That all depends on what region you are in. PreviouslyOn24 might be a better person to explain this exactly. I'm not too familiar on this whole concept.

Region1 (NTSC) Twenty-Four Day 5 DVD Collection has the prequel on as a special feature. It's available in America and Japan.

Region2 (PAL) Twenty-Four Day 5 DVD Collection does not have the prequel on at all. This is the downside of living in Great Britain, Europe and other regions.

Right, but... talkin' of Kim... She's on fire on s3, with short hair and just a little grown up than the s1 and s2... Wow...

Anyway... I prefer short hair on Kiefer, it kinda look meaner, hahaha.

Jack was better in seasons 2,3,4, and 5 with his air. He looked too old at the start of 6 Razz

he was damn sexy looking in S1. Even at the beginning of S2. I prefer scruffy looking guys. I don't like his hair short. Slade is right, it makes him look too old.

Long hair all the way. although i guess the short looks better in the sense that he is supposed to be well kept for his job. it represents the discipline or something

in S5, i dont know if you noticed, but bills hair changes from dark to light over the course of the season
