I don't really like her character, but I think she was important in season 1. Season 2, she had a completely pointless role, and season 3 her role was semi-important.

I actually agree with you Terri, she is an important part of the show. Jack wouldn't have had reasons to live without her. Any part of her being annoying we should really blame on the writers, and not her.

^^ yeah deffinately, in season 2 the writers knew they had to keep her on the scene for Jacks sake, but it seems they couldnt be bothered to write her a proper storyline lol

That's probably the best summed up explanation for her I have heard. Stupid writers. Maybe they can give her a good and less redundant storyline before the show is up. They at least owe her that.

Nothing against the writers, they obviously know what they are doing, but if they had written it right, Kim could have been an extremely powerful character, both to Jack and the audience.

Not if she was still played by Elisha "No Charisma" Cuthbert. 
No offence to her, but she can't act. Whatsoever. During her confrontation with Jack in Day 5, it was like Jack was putting in all the effort: Oscar-winning performance, delivered to a wall of nothingness. Elisha just standing there, monotone, saying "I can't do this right now, Dad."
Sorry to cut into your schedule, dear.

Exactly she was in shock, i would be too lol, i have a feeling it was written that way.
I dont exactly think Elisha is the best actress, but i think she can act i think she did a great job in the phone call scene with Jack in season 2.

read an article on kim i completely agree with
the talked to the writers and they said this:
"we thought we had a chance to bring kim back in season 5 and make her badass ... we failed miserably"
i totally agree. they know she's a sucky character, and they've already tried to bring her back. i wouldnt expect to see her in season 7, cause they can't afford another bad storyline to be honest...

I can't see Kim as a secret agent. And why would she want to even do that? She always hated that in Jack and in Chase. She's probably still living with her boyfriend, what's-his-name... Barry? I think that's it.

in a perfect world jack will have to debate whether saving her, or saving literally the entire united states and it's allies.
then we see him save the united states... and he cries... cause of the stress of the day (like day 3)

Maybe saving the US would result in him doing the action himself and dying in the process. So the Father and Daughter go out together.

Maybe not them going out together, but if Jack looked at Kim one last time, then did the action that saved everyone but killed him - that could work really well!

US safe, kills a few people
decision B:
US even more safe, but kills a lot of people
chooses decision B, and keeps US safer but takes more lives, and incidently (and unknowingly) kills Kim. and just thinks if he had killed fewer people and left US in more danger, his daughter would be alive

It's the money. He must have a lot of money, and that is what attracted her. Didn't she also say something about him being the only one really there for her? Or some crap like that?

I doubt it was the money, Jack seems to be pretty wealthy (judging on his house in season 1) and Kim would have inherited everything from him and he 'died'.
Its more likely she formed an attachment to him as he was the only one showing her he cared after her dad died.

No, but still. It's kinda weird. Although the whole situation is definitley worth seeing Jack threaten to choke the guy in the Holding Room. If only he had gone through with it. But then I guess Kim would have had a reason to hate him. If I was her, I would sure dread bring a guy home to meet him.

Yeah. I spend so much time at my neighbors place, that they've pretty much adopted me as a third daughter, and their dad gets like that too. I was recently telling them about my new boyfriend, and immediately their dad is like 'Who is this boy? I need to meet him before you go out! I need to know what his intentions are!' As if I'm gonna marry this guy or something. It's so funny.
