Jack needs training.....

I love the show but I can hardly stand the poor gun handling techniques exhibited by Jack. You would think that the producers who are spending "God only knows" how much money on this show would at least make sure the guy had at least 15 minutes of formal gun training. I shoot IDPA competition and I'm by no means an expert but he doesn't even know how to grip the gun much less perform proper reloads!! I wouldn't be blowing off steam except they show him in the previews displaying all of his ignorance with a handgun in slow motion no less.........I like the series but would also like it to be "somewhat" believable. I'm sure there are others out there.....

Abso-friggin'-lutely, BeReal.

My co-host Tony and I are avid gun owners and go shooting regularly, and the depiction in this show of the handling of firearms has a lot to be desired.

To begin beating a dead horse, a show that just finished up called "The Shield" had some of the best handgun wrangling we've seen EVER by actors.

A very valid point and something that I hope "24" takes to heart for season 8!

Just got started with that show. Finished 3rd season a few days ago. Pure awesomeness.

I've never noticed gun handling since i don't know anything about it.

Good to hear from you 24Podcast. Glad to know that I'm not the only one who noticed. I enjoy the acting (which I know nothing about) and the story line but I'm hoping that the producers will someday realize that his gun handling skills turn parts of this show into a Disney flick for some of us.  I'll have to check out "The Shield". Thanks again for replying.
whycantkimdie?

I live in England so I have NO idea how a gun should be handled.

^^ This.

And it is exactly how it should be  Razz

Considering Jack's kill count to death ratio I think he's fine anyway Razz

It's pretty sad that you'd write a message likie this. As if anybody would notice something like that.

But on the other hand, there has been another shooting in the US with multiple people killed so that's probably the reason. The police should be aware of People like you. It's scary!

And that's the way it should be. People who do know, might have a little (or big) problem.

True.
He doesn't need gun safety...he's got Bauer Power.

But it's also true that his lessons on gun safety--or lack thereof--were done by an idiot.  I'm only a teenager (creepers, stay away--you'll find out why) but I'm pretty proficient with a gun.  No way am I an expert, but all of my siblings responsible enough has had gun safety lessons and shooting lessons just in case.

Jack doesn't even need guns.

yes, those in the know have good points, i'm sure, but for the ballistics laymen among us, WE JUST ENJOY THE STORY AND LOVE SEEING THE GOOD GUYS BLOW THE BAD GUYS AWAY ALREADY!!!!!!

I think to say that Jack did not know how to use a weapon, you must have seen Roger Moore as James Bond, that he does not know whether to use any weapon.

Jack is GOD.
