Pretty shocking.

I wouldn't be surprised if he got an Oscar for the playing the Joker. He'll be forever remembered by that role.

He was so sexy in Casanova... I watched that movie last night, along with The Patriot, The Brothers Grimm and A Knight's Tale. And I still have Four Brothers, Ned Kelly and Brokeback Mountain to watch... I think I need some more ice cream. Sad
Terri

The only one of those i havent seen is Casanova, although i do have it so i guess ill be watching it soon enough.

He wasnt in Four Brothers was he thats the one with Mark Wahlberg right? or am i thinking of another film.
Josephine Marcus

Oops, I meant to say The Four Feathers. It's kinda a different movie, but that's what he was known for, was taking the more independent, artist films, rather than the hollywood blockbusters.
Terri

lol thats what i thought you meant, he was also in a film called Candy, i dont know what its about, i saw it on the shelf at work today.
Josephine Marcus

You work at a movie store? Oh god, I would die! I am such a movie buff (If I do say so myself) I would be bringing home a movie every night!
Terri

Yeah i work at Blockbusters lol i pretty much do bring home a movie everytime i work lol, i used to be really into movies too, but now im much more into TV shows.
Josephine Marcus

Now theres all this controversy over that video of him they're threatening to show on TV. I feel so bad for his family. Sad
Terri

Yeah i know why cant  they leave him alone.

In case anyone hasnt heard this is from IMDB:

Sarah Jessica Parker, Josh Brolin and Natalie Portman were among the stars who bombarded the producers of news show Entertainment Tonight and urged them to drop a damning Heath Ledger video. The footage, taken at a Hollywood party in 2006, reportedly features the late actor drinking and taking drugs. The news show aired teaser footage during its Wednesday night broadcast and producers planned to show the full tape on Thursday. But angry phone calls from the stars and harsh criticism from Ledger's publicists made them think again - and eventually axe the news item. In one angry open letter, Ledger's representative Mara Buxbaum wrote, "This is not journalism, it is sensationalism. It is a shameful exploitation of the lowest kind."
Josephine Marcus

I heard that. And on top of everything else, now the church in his hometown in Australia won't let his family bury him there because he was in Brokeback Mountain!!
Terri

OMG thats just ridiculous
Josephine Marcus

I know! I'm as religious as the next person but come on! To be that serious that you won't allow someone to be buried on your church grounds because of a role they played in a movie??? Personally, that's when religion just makes me mad!

That's johnny depp to be honest (b4 pirates, in which he did his own thing anyways)

yea, and the thing about heath ledger is that the joker was what he lived for. In my opinion, he died fulfilling his destiny Razz
Josephine Marcus

Yeah, but I just wish he had dies fulfilling his destiny when he was much older! Not 28!
Sandervs

it was better if he was 82
slade

It's ashame when we lose other Aussies, especially the very few who make it internationally.
Josephine Marcus

Yeah, like Steve Irwin.
Sandervs

He was cool
