I think it may be possible that Jack will die in the end, it would make for a very satisfying ending. Even if he doesn't die, I think that someone very important will die, someone that's been in the show for a really long time and is really close to Jack, like Chloe for example.
Following only applies if the latest season is the last (is it?)
Perhaps they'll 'kill' him off and bring him back to life during the movie? That way it'll leave room for the series to be picked up whenever. Cause if the movie is being released after the latest season and they plan to have him in it (), i doubt they'd kill him.
^ Ok. Scratch that. I didnt know this forum had a website and just read on that theres going to be a 7th season. I just checked imdb earlier and it showed just 6 seasons. A bit of the top still applies in a way though, i so wont get rid of it
No, I don't think season 7 will be the last season. I've heard rumors of a script being written for season 8 already, but I'm not sure, so don't take my word for it.

Im pretty sure thats not gonna happen, with everything thats happened to Jack i cant see him living happily ever.
Although it would be nice if he had a big house by the beach, settled down with Audrey (even though i hate her lol) and was reunited with Kim, but again theres not much of a chance for that.

My understanding is it's an option - it's not confirmed.
FOX have ordered two more seasons after Day 6. We all know the seventh is well on the way, and number eight will be right behind it as usual. After that, there's an option to either do a ninth or concentrate on the film.
As for the final ever hour, I'd like to see Jack kill himself in order to save Los Angeles, Washington, America or the world. Perhaps throw himself into something in order to stop something bad from happening, or do a George Mason and pilot a bomb somewhere quiet. Hey, he's tried to do it so many times on the show... we should let him do it!

I think that the only way to definitively end this series is to kill Jack off. He has tried to leave his duties and start a new life many times, but we all know how those turned out. No matter what happens, he always gets roped back in. As for how he should go? It has to be something heroic and dramatic. And it has to be saving everyone, and by everyone I mean everyone in the whole US (or wherever it may be).

EPIPHANY!! Wouldn't it be really weird if we never actually SAW Jack die. Something happened and everyone ASSUMED he was dead, but it's possible that he may or may not be alive and we never truly know what happened! It would go out in true 24 style by leaving us hanging! What do you guys think?
