Jack and Tony are on point so far. I'm getting tired of the FBI being involved seeing how they are more inept than any CTU supervisor has ever been. Janice/Janeane Garofalo is annoying as hell, as is the analyst who sent the executive order to land his wife's plane.
More Chole and Bill, less FBI. Other than that, I'm quite pleased so far.

All this thing is about Sangala and they never show (so far) a image from there, only on TV news. Also, I don't understand how a device (CIP) can control a lot of things: Air Control - it's ok, but electricity, water... how can they do that?

i went with awesome, just because it's 24. but really, it is a FRESH start from the traditional LA CTU settings, and the citry around it. I do like how the main characters have all gone "dark". And, of course it's 24 ... so whatever is going on right now; probably won't even matter after about 12 episodes later ... plenty of plot changes to be expected, i'm sure.
I'm very excited about this season. Normally I wait for the DVD's to watch them but this season has really got it's claw's in me. And the wait for the next episode is agonizing.
Really like how CTU crew is working "outside the law" can't wait to see how this pan's out. Still tyring to figure out who's the traitor, got my money on the FBI director don't reallly like him think he's to much of a boyscout and need's a Jack Bauer pistol whipping to knock some sense into him.
But it's still to early to tell knowing the history of the show. This season rock's!

I liked the first episodes very much, but I think the Tony story was explained too fast. I hoped he would be a real bad guy. I'm looking forward for episode 6

I agree; The writers sort of rushed the whole "Tony's a bad guy now" plot point. But I actually prefer the way it turned out - that he was involved, but not fully committed. Convincing the audience to buy Tony as a full-fledged terrorist would have been a stretch IMO

I agree. Tony just wouldn't be believable as a true bad guy. He's like Jack. He just can't help himself when it comes to helping the good guys.

I agree about Tony being revealed, they tried to make it such a surprise when he was seen on screen, however everyone i am sure knew it was him in the van right at the beginning, so it hardly came as a surprise, poorly done i think.
The first episode had me hooked, great action scene and fresh too, however i am now on episode 8 and i am kinda getting bored with it.
Do not like Mrs President at all, and as for the 1st Man, he is just plain terrible.
Also, the chemical plant (insectiside) kinda new that was going to happen as well, they have to think up new acts of terrorism i think to keep audiences on their toes.
As for Renne's so called "torture" in the hospital lol, was totally laughable, would never happen! She's a terrible actress, hope she gets shot, and by jack would be cool, just as they fall in love he shoots her by mistake.. My prediction.. remember "everyone who ever gets close to him dies"
I think the biggest hole in all of this is that CTU was apparently closed down due to bad management, flauting of the laws, torturing suspects etc, so it was disbanded and absorbed by the FBI.. so what is the first thing they do? recruit Jack Bauer LOL.. he was the one that did all the bad stuff in CTU.. WTF? Not very plausible i don't think.
And finally, what is with that FBI analyst who thinks she is a clone of Chloe?? God awful casting 24, please let her plug her straighteners into the mains at FBI and some terrorist cause a power surge so she fries.. she has to be the most annoying character so far in all of 24!!
Other than that, it will be interesting to see where this season goes, but a third of the way in and i hope it gets better!

I think Tony's backstory is really good. Makes sense that he would be mad at everything and go evil, but then realise what he was really doing, and use his situation to his advantage and be a double agent.

LOL... My guess is you're one of the very few who feels this way. For the other millions Renee is VERY good this season and a definite keeper! I predict a couple of awards for Annie Wershing
