Just got a copy of 24: Declassified - Veto Power

Got it 25% off cause the cover was ever so slightly damaged. I have spent almost every spare moment reading it (when I'm not posting here, of course). It's pretty good so far, but the language in here is so awful! Jack gets mad and swears like a sailor! Hard to imagine, but I guess someone thought it was a good idea.

Anyone else read it?

It's 24, in novel style. Each chapter is an hour and it goes back and forth between Jack in the field, political stuff, and happenings at CTU.

It takes place just prior to Day 1, Jack has been demoted to the lowest levels of domestic terrorism. While finishing off an 6 month undercover operation with some Aryan supremacists guys, he actually discovers that they have been very secretly tracking some suspected terrorists. He takes this intel to CTU, and they don't think it's any good, so he goes all insubordinate on their asses.

Nina Myers - Agent

Okay, so, I finished the book. All in all, I'd say it was pretty good. It's kinda funny cause Jack screws up everything in this story. He's one step behind the bad guys for most of the story, and by the time he finally figures it out, he's cause so much damage that CTU wants nothing to do with him. He gets shot 3 times, dislocates his shoulder, breaks ribs, beat up too many times to count, goes undercover twice, gets knocked out, kidnapped, burned, fired by Chapelle... Oh! and he gets a lap dance from a stripper. So, all in all, he had a good day!

I dont have that book, but i got a similar one i think its called Cats Claw, i dodnt know if its pary of a series that you have to read in order, or not lol

I think it is, mind you I haven't actually read the series in order yet so... Smile

The only hard thing about it is that Nina is an agent along with Jack, and she keeps flirting with him and being all buddy-like and normal and you can't help but know that she's turns out to the person who pretty much ruins Jacks life. He he...

I just got a copy of CTU operations manual. some of the things in there are just hilarious. like
How to survive a biological terrorist threat. They have like everything you need to survive in a day in the life of Jack Bauer. It's great!

I would get scared a pee myself doing most of what he does, without having not peed for hours. Mind you, when you also aren't eating or drinking, I guess you don't have to go to the bathroom either.

my mom got it for me for christmas, i expect you could get it specially ordered from a bookstore, or a halfprice bookstore ( I shop there frequently it's where i got the book you were originally talking about in this thread and season 3 for 20 dollars) -sigh- I love that store
