How Kiefer wants Jack to go out

I was skimming around YouTube today, and I found an interview with Kiefer about 24. The interviewer asked Kiefer how he would like to see Jack go. Kiefer replied with the following:

"You know what, and I can talk to you about this because how I want him to go out will never matter to Joel or Bob or any of them... There was somethin' I always found kind of attractive, if he was goin' to go out and he had to go out, that you thought it was done, and he's just walking away, and you actually see him take a long deep breath, maybe light up a cigarette and boom! He's gone. And that it just came out of no where and absolutely shocked you and it doesn't get explained. You're just looking everywhere and you can't see who did it... But I'm open for the guns blazing too."

I would actually be a little mad if they never explained what even happen. Now, what I would like to see is if there was some kind of explosion or something, and everything is over and everyone is safe, but you never know whether Jack survived, and the characters never know either. Maybe Jack planned it that way so he could disappear again, maybe he was killed, you never know, but I wouldn't mind that. (It would keep the forums going with theories for a while, anyways. Wink

)

If that happened, say, at the end of season 7, that would be awesome, because while we wouldn't know what happened for a long time, we'd find out in season 8.

Good idea! Screw the writers, I say you and me write the movie now! Then we take it to the producers, sell it too them, make millions, and be happy forever! (And possibly meet Kiefer in the process)

I'd be happy with Kiefers way. It would be like DiCaprio getting shot in The Departed but you wouldn't see who did it. Or maybe it would slowly pan over to see who did it.

Yeah i think ive seen that interview, he once also said he'd like Jack to get into his car and it blow up.

Yeah, that part in The Departed was pretty unexpected. I hope Jack doesn't get shot like that, but the unexpectedness would be cool.

i still think season 7 is the last season
24 hours in a day, 7 days a week.

Actually, 24 is signed on for 2 more seasons, once that contract is up it will either end, or they can sign for more seasons. So season 7 definitely is not the last season, but season 8 might be.

Yeah they have contracts for season 8 but it doesnt mean they have to make it, it just means they have the option too if they want to.

I don't care how many seasons there are, as long as they're quality. I'd hate to see the show fade off...

I'd hate to see the next season be like Season 6. 6 wasn't bad but it wasn't up to 24 standards. I'd hate to see the strike affect 24 as well.

But ending at 7 seasons would actually be pretty cool. Since it's a whole week. It's novel Razz

chase comes out of no where in season 8's finale and chops jacks arm off, and jack bleeds to death. that would be down right suck and be wierd.

I think it's funny how Kiefer mentions about Jack having a smoke. I can't see that...
