It's crap.

I'm sorry, but the first episode, while okay in parts (like Jack shooting George in the leg), was clearly put together on a budget. The clocks are also all different and even tick over people's lines!

Only after the first few episodes did Day 1 get brilliant, and the second half of the season is perfection, but the first episode is, unfortunately, dire.

I know, shocking eh?

Did you know there was originally a shot of the plane exploding, but it was removed quickly after 9/11...?

Good special effects in that part, although shame the same can't be said for the clocks and transitions.

I'd recommend it. It's around about this point in the season that things start to pick up. Pretty soon, you'll be glued to your seat, putting in episode after episode, not able to even leave for a pee...!

I promise, stick with it! Wink

I always had to go to the bathroom so badly after watching 24, because I'd watch about 5 episodes without any break Very Happy

The very first episode of any action type show is always a little borderline on the effects. If the show can prove itself and get picked up, they can up their budget for the other episodes. I agree that the effects are not great, but the storyline is awesome and the season just gets better as it goes on.

What's better, Jack with short hair (almost all the seasons) or Jack with kinda long hair (S1). I like the long hair on Kiefer, it just looks good, but I think as a CTU agent he is better to have short hair.

season 1 was the only season where they got some good use out of kim.

eh, i think when jack came back from china with a full head of hair and a beard was when he was at his most badass.
he was like ya, i havent showered in a year, i havent talked in a year, ive been tortured everyday, and i could still kick ur ass anyday.

possibly the only real memorable moment of season 6. well ya the premier was GOD, but then it kinda went down hill, but lets not get into that arguement on the season 1 forum...

Actually, he had that same long hair and full beard in the first couple of episodes in season 2, because he was depressed about Teri's death.

Nah, he looked kinda like a hobo or something. But I guess at that point, that wasn't a major concern of his.
